Right this is my female Angelfish who is in a mating pair and I thought it may be like an umbilical cord but I'm not sure can anyone tell me?

Looks like fish [moderator edit] coming out the [moderator edit]to me.. Usually have that with my cichlids lol

Yup, it's just fish poop. Remember, only placental mammals have umbilical cords, and angelfish are egg laying fish. Not even "livebearers" have live birth like mammals do, they just hatch their eggs inside their bodies, they don't nourish the growing young with a placenta.
 
yea this happens after you feed your fish. It means they are alive and well. Lolol
 
I feel like such a retard ewww that things been dangled there for days now!!! What a dirty fish they should learn to wipe.
