I am almost through cycling my 72 gallon and once it cycles I am planning on moving my fish from 29g to the 72. The only problem is that I have a youg bn pleco and I want to do what is right for him. I know that waiting for the other tank to mture probably makes most sense. The problem is that I need to shut my 29g ASAP as my electric bill is high. Is there another way I can transfer him now that will sustain him, maybe with zuccini and wafers?
New tank specks:
72g bf, 3 plants, driftwood, pressurized c02, and 3x54 6500k lights.
Thanks

As long as you provide the algae wafers, I don't see a problem. The driftwood will also help with it's diet.
