Treating Rocks

Hello,

I am receiving some larger rocks from my local landscaping company, and I am wondering how to treat them to be put/stacked in my 55 gallon tank.

If they're too large to be put in a pot to be boiled, I would at least wash them several times with boiling water before putting them in your tank. Before washing them, I would clean them with a stiff brush to remove any dirt and debris.

Before you put the rocks in the tank, put egg crate on the bottom (before sand, or work it down through it). Other wise the larger rocks can crack the bottom glass.
