unwanted snails

Being new to fish and aquatic plants, you can guess that I have incurred a minor snail invasion.

Unfortunately, while I've read that some people like that, I honestly don't want to deal with them and their growing numbers. They're not bad now, but just want to keep control of what's going on.

What are my options for ridding my tank of snails without incurring another cycle? I have some plants and 5 danios in a fully cycled 30 gal. I plan on trading the danios for some tetras and cory's, and I'd rather not get something like a clown loach just to rid my tank of snails.

Are there any other options I have available? Fishing 5 of the buggers out daily has not really helped.

Try putting lettuce on the bottom at night. In the morning you should be able to get quite a few up.
