DID I BUST MY FILTER?! i know w/ crushed coral it could get in and ruin it somehow so now i'm buggin lol

all help is appreciated!!

thanks!!

If any of the crushed coral got into the impeller, it is a likely possibility that you could indeed have damaged your filter. You may have gotten lucky and just had something get jammed the impeller wheel.

Open up the filter and look at the impeller to see if anything is stuck in there. If there is, just clean it out and you should be good to go. The last thing you want to do is to leave anything in there that could be jamming/slowing the impeller. If the filter motor isn't damaged yet, it will be if this is not taken care of. It will burn up the motor.
