Vanishing Fish

I came home yesterday and noticed that 2 of my Danios had vanished. I have a cage on the suction of my filter with thin slats so they wouldn't have been able to have been sucked in. I moved all of my decor around and checked all around the tank to see if they had jumped out but I couldn't find any trace of them. The one Danio looked as if he had a problem with his swim bladder and the other was my most boisterous one that loved chasing the other fish around. I just can't understand how 2 of them went missing. I had 6 Danios, 4 Platys, 1 Guppy, a small common pleco and 2 snails in the tank - is it possible that the 2 for some reason died and the other fish ate them?

Hi sounds to me like either your pleco or snails ate them when they died. Its happened with my fish before, they'll eat anything!

Yup snails are very efficient scavengers
