Variatus platy

Hello! I was just wondering what the minimum tank size is for variatus platies. Thank you!

Depends on how many. For just one a 5-10 would work. For a trio of two females and a male a 10 or 15 would work nicely. How many are you planning on?

the minimum is 10gal for one platy. but i would go 20gal because 10gal is too small and will become a nuisance later on if you want to do anything to the tank (ie decorate, aquascape.....)

I was planning on about 3 and I have a 10 gallon tank. So will this work? Is there anything variatus platies require that normal platies don't?

I've kept a breeding trio in a heavily planted ten gallon for over a year now. It is hard to keep the sand clean with their poop but I get it all siphoned up alright.
