Can I do water changes 5 hours apart to lower Ammonia level????

you can do them as often as necessary. do 50% or larger if the ammonia is very high. how high is the ammonia?

was 8, now 4, I think ammonia lock was messing with the readings........

Ok, I would take out the Ammo Lock and do 50% pwc's until you get the ammonia to 0 or .25ppm. Keep doing them as often as necessary to keep it there. I'm going out on a limb here and guessing you didn't cycle the tank? If you haven't already, read the link in my signature on cycling with fish.

I wasn't a memer on the site and I followed the advice of lfs, my bad right. So I've had my tank a month doing a cycle with fish. Help if u can. Ill take all the advice u share.
