Water Splashing Onto Top of Hood Exterior

Hello everyone,

I just setup a new 29 gal tank with a hood. I have the Penguin 200 filter and notice that it's splashing quite a bit. I get a ton of water on the top exterior portion of the hood.

My water line is right to the bottom of the filter out part. Can I alleviate the splashing by lowering the levels of the water?

Can't hurt to try. You might also try a water bottle baffle if you don't mind the look. (youtube can show you how )
