water temp question?

before I did not have my heater hooked up because i thougt the water was good enough at 72d, here they told me to put it in and so i did and place the heaters auto nob to the mark that it has for 78d. so in two days it went up to 78d for a couple of days this temp last now i notice it is at 79 or 81d of temp is this good or should I bring it down. is it ok to have the temp change to 78 to 82 from day to night?

You can adjust the heater a bit lower.. sometimes the thermostats arean'ta lways the most accurate.

Your lights are probably raising the temp a degree or so over the course of the day...just adjust the heater down a degree.
