Waver Maker and/or Air Stone

Hi, I was wondering if a wave maker (SunSun JVP-101A) would produce enough surface agitation and flow for my 55 gallon, freshwater tank, or should I combine it with an air stone?

Need more details.

Depends what you are trying to achieve, what fish you intend to keep? Does your aquascape cause deadspots you want to get water moving through? What filter do you have? You might not "need" either if your filter is sufficient.
