I'm trying to help my friend setup his first biotope tank. The problem is we don't really know what fish come from west Africa except the kribensis, nanochromis transvestitus, and buffalo cichlid. He said he didn't want krib because of how common they are in Our area. He wants community fish that are pretty hardy and school like a tetra of some sort also is their any small west african bottom dwelling catfish because those would be nice to.

They have great personality and become quite interactive. They need to be kept in groups of 3 or more and eventually grow large.
