What age to ship a pleco?

There are some albino BN plecos for sale, and I'd like to buy one, but they're only one month old. Isn't this too young to ship? And are they more likely to die at such a young age? If so, at what age should I buy a shipped BN pleco? Thank you!

It is a little risky to use the age rule as it can be iffy (some grow faster than others)

Most people I know, and my LFS ship BN Pleco's at 1.5-2.5 inches.

Not sure about age, but length is most likely a better rule.

Younger fish tend to handle shipping very well, but I never ship fish less than 3/4".
