what are the brown spots in my tank. Algae?

I'm starting to get brown spot on various item in my tank, any idea what they are?
Some decor has it and my air cutain has alot on it.

How do I fix it?
Whats the cause

I have 'em too.
Diotamaceous (sp?) algae I should think. They are part and parcel of a new tank and usually go away of their own accord. Alternatively, you may have a fish who had a bad curry. Jeff

Well I had a feeling that was what it was. Just wanted to make sure.
I'm going through aquarium hell this past week!!!
First tank crashes, Then got Ick from somebody and now Fungus on my mollies!!
Diatoms are the least of my concern!

For the Ick I raised the SG to 1.003 and now the temp is at a balmy 84F(on my way to 87F) as per the article in AA
for the fungus I'm using Maracyn to work at that
