ParaGuard looks like it has a broader treatment spectrum where the CCP seems to be parasite specific.

So if you're treating parasites like anchor worms, I would choose the CCP or something more familiar. If treating for something else I would choose something other than paraguard, something more specific as im not a fan of multi cure meds.

Also the CCP doesn't mention anything about harming BB only plants

I've used Paraguard on many occasions since it is mild and is safe in planted tanks. For an actually parasite outbreak such as ich it works but slower than treatment specific parasitic/protozoan meds. I've used it for healing of wounds and to keep secondary infections from setting in with great success.

Paraguard is a malachite green/aldehyde combination while the Paracid product is a DTHP organophosphate insecticide. Paraguard would be suitable for treating parasite issues such as ich. The DTHP product is strictly intended for treating crustaceous copepods such as anchor worm or fish lice. Its pretty toxic, old-school stuff. There are newer products available that are not as toxic if anchor worms or fish lice are an issue.

Definitely not comparable in any respect as they are for treating very different issues.

Thanks, I was just curious, no issues in my tanks...
