What can I put in this 5GAL tank?

I bought a white one and it had perfect little oval/circles on the top, bottom and tail fins so different looking, after a couple weeks it got healthier and the red spots disappeared and it was a beautiful glowing white. Must have been ammonia or nitrate poisoning.

My neighbor liked him quite a lot so i gave him to him, he lives alone and didn't have any pets! I told him how to keep the Betta and now he has two, he liked them so much!
