what disease is this

I recently bought a pleco and I'm not sure what kind of sickness this is I'm not sure if its ick because its not all over his body just this small part it hasn't spread I've managed to keep it under control but I just want to know what it is and how to cure it any information would be greatly apreciated

Looks like velvet disease. I has the same thing happen to mine. It started out as one patch and over the course of a few days spread. I went away on its own. Google velvet disease.
