Can you give us any more background details at all, like your tank size & set-up / inhabitants / what you are feeding currently ?
These will help people to give you a much more narrowed down, accurate answer.

I have a Red Tail Black Shark, they can be quite fussy eaters at times and it's not really that uncommon for them to not always eat at feeding time.
Mine will eat flakes, tubifex (dried worms), pellets and sometimes livestock, such as bloodworms.

Try an algae wafer if all else fails.

It's a red-tailed black shark. Tank is 28gal, planted. There are 3 corys, 9 white cloud minnows, and a pleco in the tank with the shark.

I have a red tail black shark in a 55 gallon setup. I've noticed e is much more active at night and roots around the gravel looking for bits of food. Maybe yours is doing the same thing, try watching at ight with the lights off.

They will always root around as they are mid - bottom feeders. My shark also like to nibble and knaw around plants, sometimes turning the full 360degrees - great to watch.
