What do with goldfish?

I have a 10 gallon tank with a solitary goldfish, I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions for some good tank mates

Depending on the exact species of goldfish you have, you will need to rehome or upgrade. No goldfish can properly live in a 10g. Do you know the species? Or could you post a picture for an ID?

If you have a fancy he needs a 20g just for himself. If you have a common, comet or other pond fish he will need a 50g tank to himself. Goldfish get quite large. 6-12 inches (or more) for fancies and 18 inches or more for the commons and comets. Koi can reach 3 foot long.

I'm stilling trying to persuade my cousin to get his little sisters goldie a bigger tank, not going well
