what do you clean with?

Just wondering what you clean gunky stuff (ie. plants and accessories) with?

I rarely clean anything that has a good bacteria buildup. But when I do rocks from my mom's guppy tank I use an old toothbrush to get algae off.

Same here, I use a toothbrush and cold water not to kill the bacteria. The toothbrush works great btw for algae on stuff. I recommend a Hard Bristle ones the soft dont work that good.

for the nastiest build up, a diluted bleach solution. Then Rinse, rinse, rinse, and rinse some more. The more paranoid among us then rinse again with water that has dechlorinator in it. But for the most part, I rinse under tap water and rub with my fingers.

Bleach dip works for me, too, especially with algae.
