I was wondering about uing aragonite sand for my goldfish tank. I understand it has a buffering ability and is very porous. Is this good or bad?
What do you think about using aragonite for fresh water?

It depends on your water parameters you have right now. What are they?
Besides, it is quite expensive and there are cheaper possibilities out there that are just as good IMO.

My water seems to be fine but I had a ph crash a bit ago. Not sure why. I was just wondering about the buffering ability of it.
