What fish can live with betta? 10 gallon

Hey,
I have a 10 gallon planted tank with 1 male betta on his own. What can I add in there so he isn't so lonely. I thought a shrimp perhaps? Know of anything else that's suitable and is happy in a 10 gallon?

A group of pygmy cores could work. Shrimp with betas are really a wild card because each beta will view shrimp differently.

The dwarf frogs are the best choice presented so far, along with Pygmy Corys and shrimp.
