What fish is this?

My parents had a tank growing up and had a nice tank. We always had these really cool fish that i cant find now. I dont remember any thing other than they were long 4-6" black and had this little bottle nose. They were really active and playfull as well. Someone suggested a ghost knife but thats not it.

Any ideas?
