Hi Allivymar,

a .75g pico tank? How cool!! How hard is it to keep up with water parameters?
It's actually easier than I had expected. I'm a "freshie" but I got this tank for my birthday in June - so it is my first adventure into the "salty" world.

In 6 words: water changes, water changes, water changes.

I make many small changes (1 to 2 cups every second/third day)

 One of these days I'll upload some pics of my tanks into my gallery.

10 gallon tank:

8x Baby Guppies (1 male, 7 females)
3x Head and Tail Light Tetras
2x Dwarf Gouramis
2x Cory Cats
2X Oto Cats
1x Guppy male

26 gallon tank:
6x Cherry Barbs

While it is a maintenence nightmare, my 10g tank has been doing really well considering the overstocked conditions. My 26g is currently combating Ich, once that clears up, I am going to add Bio-Sipra to tank and move the Gouramis and Tetras into the larger tank. All of the female guppies will end up in the 26g tank as well once they get a bit bigger, and the males will stay in the 10g tank with just the Catfish.

I have a 55 gal Tank.

4 Clown Loaches
4 Black Fin Tetras
4 Rosy Barbs
8 Tiger Barbs
2 Dwarf Gouramis
2 Tri-Color Sharks
1 Angel
1 Pleco
1 Male Betta

i did ask the bloke in the fish shop, and i asked how many he recommended, he also said the crabs will be fine with the other fish and wouldn't eat them.

he walked round every tank he had and i asked "how many" and "will they be ok together?"

the angel fish get a bit moody sometimes and peck at each other, they change colour too, the black stripes get darker.

i really like em all, and really do want to make sure they live alright.

Like i said it does look busy and i get the feeling the fish want their own space

-upkeep isn't too bad considering who's in there...(plus all 3 are still relatively small). I'm trying to figure out the logistics of a larger tank in my tiny apartment (no room for anything on a stand...gotta figure out what my counter will hold), and waiting patiently for my LFS's pleco stock to diminish so I can donate to them, and they can give him a proper home.

I'm also planning on getting a betta soon, keeping it in either in a bowl, or a 2 gallon novelty tank.

hey solid snake.. how big are your oscars.. I have the same tank, but a tall, and I have two oscars (One red and the other a tiger) plus I am about to add a pleco to it... but I am going to try to get them in a new tank as fast as possible. How long do you plan on keeping your oscars in there out of curiosity?
