what is this???

It keeps coming up on my glass from time to time?? More so now than ever.. is it algae?? Dangerous for the tank?

Looks like algae it starts out a whitish color and turns green
Just scrub your tank twice or once a week once it turns green it's pretty hard to get off
And no I wouldn't say it's dangerous
