What is this??!!

What is this sitting on top of my aquarium water?? It looks like a baby fly of some sort. Was this thing born in my aquarium? I'm not breeding mosquitoes, am I??!

It's been there for a couple hours that I know of. Makes no attempt to fly away.

No I think the moth may have fell inside the tank does it have a hood and did it happen during night or day

Oh.. Makes sense, fishdude... Maybe it fell in. Lol. There's a hood but there's a feeding hole in the hood.

I noticed the bug this morning, so it could have fallen in overnight.

Too bad I don't have fish yet. They probably would have eaten it.

Yah they would have but that bug could carry disease and pass or on to your fish.

Sorry to hijack, but I have some kind of larva in my tank. Looks like mosquito larva? No idea how they got in. Also I have pond snails. Are these pond snails eggs?
