what is this, worm / leech?

It's pink and narrow, and it's gliding along the glass. Approx 1 inch long.

The fish are uninterested. What the heck is this thing?

I'm not sure whether I can work up the courage to smoosh it and throw it in the trash... probably not a good idea to flush it...

they are probably harmless and from what that other thread says just do some gravel vacuuming to bring the population down.
