What kind of food?

I am in the middle of cycling my 36 gallon bowfront. I have a question though: what kind of food should I feed my fish? I am planning on getting about 6 neon tetras, 6 guppies, 5 cory cats (not sure which type), a dwarf gourami, and probably 8 ghost shrimp. What would be the best food and do I still have room for more fish?

Stocking depends more in water changes than tank volume. If you can keep the nitrate concentration under 20ppm you should be fine.

I only feed and recommend New Life Spectrum, specifically the Thera+A formula. They would all do well on the Regular/1mm size.

I planed on doing changes probably once a week. If it makes any difference I have two ac 70 filters
