What size air pump and air stone for 55 gallon?

I think I'm going to go with a Million air pump, after reading reviews, but what size would I need for a 55 gallon? Also, what size air stone should I get? I have an air stone that comes with the Hagan battery operated pump, but would that be too small? Thank you!

What is the air stone for? Is it primarily for decoration or general aeration, or will you be using it to run a filter (undergravel, box/corner, etc.)?
