What would happen?

My friend went on vacation for a week and thinks he left his aquarium light on. Would anything bad happen to his fish which are guppies.

Depends on the light. Weak light on a big tank and you may see nothing, or maybe a little bit of algae. On the other end of the spectrum, leaving high power lights on for a week could herald the algaepocolypse.

I know that it's a 10 gallon and I think it's the light that came with it.
