This is in the tank in my friend's office. He just has a bunch of feeder Guppies living in the tank and when I stopped into this office to pick up some Dwarf Crayfish, these Guppies were constantly nipping at the snail. The snail just kept moving along, not seeming to care. Do snails slime coats have something the fish like? I'm not really concerned as the snail didn't seem to care. I'm just curious.

There was no noticable algae on the snail, and they weren't going after his shell. They were going after his actual body. I was surprised he wasn't closing up.

that is a great picture lol I had this problem once, sometimes my danios and mollies would sneak up and I guess they bit the snail but he would freak out and go in his shell. I came to one conclusion...they think he's food lol
