what's a good Snail Eater?

wanna set up a tetra tank, with only South American fish...

Now i need a Sanil eater indiginous to South America...

any advice there?

have found one... the Characidium..

more would be greatly appreciated....

The immediate suggestions are not SA fish. Dwarf gouramis, clown loaches (And other loaches), goldfish.
 
Clown loaches are crazy snail eaters. I watched 4 of them completely clean a snail-infested tank in a couple of days.

Make sure to get at least three or more, though, they like to hang together. They are also great fish to keep becase they have a lot of personality.
 
Loaches are so precious. They are great. Takes them a while to get used to the tank. I got 3 clowns and they are hiding often, and two of them are friends and the third is kind of by himself. They love snails.

South American only....

If you'll read the post, I noted that. I know of no SA snail eaters, so I offered what I knew of. Puffers also eat them. SA green spotted puffer? I'm not sure they are wholly FW though.
