what's this fish?

also i bought a silver dollar and it is lying at the bottom in a corner. is that normal. its been only 2 hours.

Rasbora, perhaps Rasbora elegans? It's definitely a cypranid.

The silver dollar may be a little stressed from the introduction as well.

i put the silver dollar in a bowl floating in the aquarium the time it gets better.



also i put in an airstone.

Definitley not a tinfoil barb. What about the Rasbora myersi? Aka, Silver Rasbora.

Looks not dissimilar to an 'apollo shark', Luciosoma setigerum (I have seen them without the black striping before), or a sharpbelly, Hemiculter leucisculus, or similar (although I tend toward the apollo, as they are common in the hobby, and have been 'in season' and in shops for a few weeks now)....because of the group of fishes this one is undoubtedly related to, I would watch it closely, as it likely gets to 8"-10" and will likely be fairly aggressive.

No, but Apollo was frequently linked to immortality in myth....perhaps an alternative name for 'Apollo shark'?
