My black mystery snail got this white spot on his shell a couple of weeks ago


What is it????

It almost looks like shell erosion. Is the Kh in your tank at least 4? A low Kh means there isn't enough calcium in the water for shell growth.

What should i do to supplement the calcium?


I actuslly have several zoo med turtle calcium blocks

Should i use those or do i use a bottled product like instant ocean ???

Calcium Montmorillonite Mineral Clay is the best IMO BUT it will also raise the Kh in your tank so you really need a Kh test kits to monitor the water.
