When it comes to heaters in large tanks
Is it better to go with 2 smaller heaters on each corner? Or one heater that works for tanks that big. I found a submersible heater that is good for up to 90gal just wondering what you guys use in your larger (55+ tanks)

On the 100 gallon I maintain, I keep one 200W heater in the body of the tank, and one in the sump.
I'd go with 2. Anyway, companies seldom make readily-available heaters over 200 or 300 watts.

I have one on my 175. Between that and the M/H lights it does just fine.
You also have to remember that the power heads will give off heat.

I use two heaters, one at each end of the tanks, 44gal and up. Smaller than that I use only one heater.
