white fuzz on fish

noticed tonight that one of my glass fish has white fuzz, any idea what it is?

Is it in one particular area. it sounds like a fungus.

yeah found it in my book, its near his eye and behind a gill, sounds like a fungus listed in the book. is he a danger to my other fish until i can get some meds for him?

No he must have had a wound. Do extra water changes to keep your water extra clean. It will help him heal faster. I believe jungle makes a good fungus medicine. If you can QT him do so. It will make him more at ease.

ill jump on the water change, but as far as meds, itstoo late atm, so ill have to get some tomorrow. its not contaegous right?

Most fungus is not, it is a secondary infection after a fish has a wound. It usually occurs if the water isn't perfect and the fish losses its ability to fight the fungus off.

yeah probably happened when we lost the dead fish for a coupe of days, the fuzz just popped up today, lsat night he looked fine
