Last night I noticed about 5 small white spots about the size of sesame seeds that appeared on a piece of driftwood I have had in my tank for a couple months now.

Today, I have 17 of those spots. See pic below.

Tank is a fresh water 54 gallon corner unit stocked with 19 tiger barbs, 5 panda corys, 3 otocinclus, a clown pleco that I never see, and 4 snails. One of the snails is in the pic, on the right side on the driftwood.

I have no idea what snail eggs look like, but I thought they were laid in a clutch above the water line. So I'm guessing that these are not snail eggs.

Nerite eggs ..
That is a nice looking nerite you have..
I think they have to be hatched or laid in salt water to be fertile .

Second bandit, definitely nerite eggs. They love to lay them all over driftwood.
