I have a fluval 105 for a new 20 gallon I am setting up, but I am wondering if I should go with the fluval 205 for the extra $30? Or will it be too much flow for a planted tank?

Thanks!

The fluvals have a lever to adjust flow. I have a 305 on my 55 gallon and i have it turned down to about a quarter because my pearl gourami were getting blown around. It says in the manual that it can be adjusted without harm to the motor.

no, i had a 305 on a 29g for quite a while running full flow... if it has too much flow, just add a spray bar, that will cut it down tremendously.
