Will Black & Striped Kuhli Loaches Mingle?

A couple months ago, I lost all but one of my striped Kuhli Loaches after adding some algae medication to my aquarium. I haven't been able to find more, so I had my LFS special order some. I am a beginner when it comes to loaches, so when I said Kuhli Loaches, I just assumed they would be striped. However, I ended up getting 6 Black Kuhlis instead. Does anyone know if the black and the striped will mingle? I'm sad cuz I was so excited that he'd finally have some friends and I don't know if he'll enjoy the company of the black ones as much as other striped ones. My tank is almost completely stocked, so I'm not sure I'd have room for another batch of striped loaches.

I believe they will. I've seen them mixed before. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I have 3 stripes and 2 black. They hang together.


29g fresh with Betta, Kuhli's, Neons, Denison Barbs, ADF, Mystery and Nerite Snails.

Some plants: Anubias, Java Fern, mosses and other misc.

8g Biorb with Betta and plants.

10g Mystery Snail Nursery

5g Plant grow tank with Pink Ramshorn Snails
