Will goldfish eat snails?

Just curious, because I would kinda like some snails and a goldfish. I have read that in cooler waters, snails live longer. Thoughts?

They might pick up small ones, but I haven't had any snails eaten by my goldies (who range from 2"-8"). A lot of people swear that goldies will eat anything that fits in their mouth, but a large snail should be fine. I don't know about snails living longer in cold water. I use salt in my goldie tanks a lot so snails are usually regulated to my trops.

...goldfish will eat anything that fits in their mouth, unless the snail can fit in the goldies mouth you'll be fine

where can u buy snail btw, i dont see any LFS carrying them -__-

walmart... i just bought a ramshorn a few days ago, i havent seen petsmart with one recently

It's illegal to sell them in my state. May be the same in yours.
