First my tank

28 Gallon, high, bowfront
6 Rummy nose tetra
1 bolivian ram
2 angels
1 pleco
2 cory

I am thinking about getting a Discus, the LFS guy says they will be ok in my tank, what do you all think

I think you have to many fish in there to add a discus. Angels and discus are no the best of tankmates. The angels are more aggresive and will out compete the discus for food. Besides two angels is pretty much a full stocking for that size tank.

i'd also agree no discus... and not a common pleco. get something smaller like a bristlenose or something. i don't think a common pleco would be comfortable in a 28gal. he'd live there, but not comfortably, IMO.

What are the dimensions of the tank? Taller tanks, no matter the gallons they hold, will support less fish compared to a longer tank with the same gallons. I agree that a discus would not be suitable in this tank. Also, looking at your other fish, keep in mind that cories like to be in groups. It lookslike you have listed what is currently in the tank, which is a full tank.
