I have been searching like crazy for a solution to lower my kh and gh. I thought about those API water softener pillows but heard mixed things about using in a planted aquarium. I have used peat moss many, many years ago but I remember the results being inconsistant. I have no room for a RO unit in my apartment and I dont want to have to buy RO water every week. So I have found this in my searching but I have not found alot of information. Amazon Rain 64oz

What is your gh? What are you using to test it? Unless it is like 400ppm+ and you are keeping discus or some other extremely sensitive fish, I don't think you'll have a problem.

I am using the API liquid test. I am very clost to liquid rock...my GH is 374ppm. I plan of keeping and hopefully breeding rams.
