Aquarium Advice Newbie
Ever since I move 3 years ago some how my 70 gallon FW tank got infected with Cyanobacteria. I did a lot or research and could not find a cure for this unsightly and smelly problem.
The problem was not a dirty tank as I cleaned and did water changes each week. I kept a diary of all me attempts and tried just about everything possible. I added and subtracted filters, airstones, reduced light time etc. I visited fish-stores and encountered different opionions of what to do. Most said they never had a problem with Cyanobacteria.
Finally, I decided to try Tetra Easybalance with Nitraban. The results are good. I still complete water changes on schedule but add the Nitraban and the problem has slowed down.
The Cyanobacteria didn't seem to bother the fish but it sure did me!
