can anyone tell me if this is a good deal? seriously considering doing it but some advice would be awesome

It's o.k., a little high for what it looks like. I'd try to talk them down to 200 probably if you really liked it.

Does it come with a filter? The filtration is a sizable expense on a tank that size. Since it's drilled for overflows though I'd probably opt to put a sump in.

Prices for tanks vary from region to region but I got a 5ft 120g a few years ago, just bare tank and stand for $100. I probably would've paid up to $150 for it, but the person had it listed for $100.

Since it seems like that guy has a ton of other tanks and stuff he might have a sump setup available also, at least a tank that might work anyway.

$300 is a little less than what I paid for a 125 new. Came with glass tops, lights and no stand. I wouldn't pay $300 for it. It's worth 300 though.
