I set up a 10 gallon tank. For a Betta. I have wood heat in the house. Winter is coming here in Michigan. My question is should I get a 50watt heater for this tank or should I get a 75watt for the colder days just in case. I would get one with adjustable heat regardless. What do you think.

Probably go with the 75 watt. It wont work as hard at keeping the temp in the tank above room temperature.

Yeah, 75 watt is what I was thinking. My 75 gallon I got a 300 watt and it's nice and steady at 80 degrees. I got a few smaller watt heater too. But I like to steadiness of the 300 watt right now. Summer I'll switch to sa lower watt.

I keep 2 x 200 submersibles in all my tanks 2x70 2x65 30 - since frequent winter power outages here tend to fry them & this way I know there is a back up. Sonce they are adjustable I just set to 85f & leave them alone
