I decided to an "experiment" by putting a wet tiny glob of fish flakes on top of my tank lid and see if anything would emerge. about a week later there are now white worms about 1 cm long each just sitting there and wriggling their tails are these safe to eat? (for the fish of course)

They are probably okay, but without knowing what kind, it's like telling you that a random mushroom in the forest is safe to eat.
