Worried about my gourami......

I know now you shouldn't have more than 1 male dwarf gourmai but before I was aware I got 2 of them in Feb. They've been fine together until recently when one of them started hiding all the time. I kept thinking he was dead as he'd hide under a rock and stay there not even moving all day long. So, I moved him to a different tank. Now no other fish for him to worry about - just some cories and an oto. It's been well over a week now and his behavior has not changed. He will hide behind a plant and just stay there motionless ALL DAY. I haven't seen him feed since he moved to this new tank. He has plenty of plants (including floating plants) and no threatening fish so it should be a good environment for him but he's not looking happier.

Any ideas? Anything I can do? Will it just take more time or do you think he'll die?

He's my favorite fish so any advice on how to get him happy again most welcome!
