Bought some very young Julli Cory's 6 weeks ago, photo attached, they are no bigger than an average sized assassin snail. Doing fairly well and getting bigger since living in my 120l lido black sand and planted aquarium.
I changed my gravel to sand with the sole purpose of getting some bottom dwellers and thought in my opinion the sand was soft to touch and wouldn't cause damage to barbels or soft bellies.
However...my Jullis barbels don't seem very long at the moment and one of my 4 only seems to have a small barbel on one side!
Any one got any ideas on how long a young Cory's barbels should be? Before I start to think about new sand..
