Was wondering what the best combination of light bulbs would be for a heavily planted tank. The fixture is a 24 in Zoo Med AquaSun T5 HO Double Light Linear Fluorescent Hood.

Without getting to far into nuances, any bulb combination will work assuming you like the coloration. If you're looking to buy new bulbs, I highly recommend giesemanns. An aquaflora+midday combination is about the best possible bulb combination, but they are a little more pricey.

Again, without getting into nuances, most bulbs other than actinics should work. I also agree that Giesemanns are great bulbs.

If you have your heart set on zoomeds, any combination of Flora Suns, Ocean Suns, or Ultra Suns will work fine. I used a flora/ultra sun combo for awhile and was pleased with the color.
