EcoTech Radion XR30W LED Aquarium Light Fixture

Visit our 24x7 online store at AquaCave.com for your aquarium supply needs!

Wireless Enabled
Wouldn’t it be cool if the Radion communicated wirelessly with other Radion units and coordinated with other EcoTech equipment?

Well, it does.

Radion lights will communicate with any EcoSmart “w” enabled VorTech pumps in addition to any future equipment designed to work on the EcoSmart platform. Coordinated night mode, storms and other light- and water-synchronized features are what you can expect from the wireless functionality that comes standard with the Radion.

Battery Backup
The Radion is fully compatible with the EcoTech Battery Backup.

In the event of a power outage, lack of light energy over the aquarium results in corals switching from photosynthesis (producing oxygen) to respiration (consuming oxygen). When used with a Battery Backup accessory, the Radion emits low levels of light intended to prevent corals from respiring, and therefore; your Radion will help to maintain an oxygen-rich environment for your fish during this critical time period.

I'm starting up a 54 gallon corner and want to do it right. Will the radion work for this tank. I built a hood and the light would be mounted 12" above the tank. No one seems two know if this light would work including ecotech. They just gave me a "I'm pretty sure you will be happy with the light" line. I want a guarantee it would provide sufficient coverage. Any help would be appreciated. I would buy the light today if it would work.

What dimensions are your tank? Best bet is to post on ecotech's community forum. usually get a quick response within a day or so. Odds are you'll probably need just 1 fixture unless the shape of the corner tank is custom etc.

My tank is 27 inches on the sides and 38 inches across the bow. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the light and we will see what happens. I talked to a rep from ecotech and he told me it should work but no guarantees were given. i dont believe i'll have any par coverage on the side of the tank at the bow but not planning on having any corals there. Just was looking for a clean setup without the clutter so I guess i'm gonna take one for the 54 gallon corner peeps out there. Ecotech knew of no one with this light on there 54 corner nor had done any testing. Hopefully it works!

Good luck, update us when you get it. I've been eying this light as well for a future 60g cube tank, 24 x24 x24 so I'm curious if you get decent coverage with yours.
